This Privacy Policy explains what Cimpos collects, how we use it, and how laundry businesses can control information in their workspace.
Information We Collect
When a laundry owner signs up, we collect the name, business legal name, contact number, email address, password credential, and account verification information needed to create and protect the account. We also collect information you choose to add while using Cimpos.
Laundry Business Data
Cimpos stores workspace details such as branches, services, laundry types, items, prices, customers, orders, invoices, payments, expenses, staff, reports, and settings that you enter or generate through the service.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide and personalise Cimpos, create invoices and reports, process subscriptions, verify accounts, send requested notifications, provide support, prevent abuse, maintain security, improve the product, and meet legal obligations.
Customer Data Entered by Laundry Businesses
The laundry business that enters customer information decides why and how that information is used. Cimpos processes it on the business's instructions to provide workspace features. The business is responsible for its notices, permissions, retention choices, and responses to customer requests.
Sharing Information
We do not sell customer or laundry business data. We share information with service providers that help us host, secure, operate, bill, and communicate through Cimpos; with people you authorise in your workspace; and when required to comply with law, protect rights, or prevent fraud and abuse.
SMS and Email Providers
If your workspace sends an SMS or email, the necessary recipient and message information is passed to the selected delivery provider. Providers process that information under their own terms and privacy policies. Delivery records may be kept so we can troubleshoot and show message status.
Data Security
We use access controls, encryption or hashing where appropriate, monitoring, and other reasonable safeguards. You also help protect data by using strong passwords, limiting staff access, and reporting suspected account compromise promptly.
Data Backups
We create backups for service continuity and recovery. Backup copies may remain for a limited period after deletion while they expire through normal backup rotation.
Data Retention
We keep information while an account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here. Retention periods depend on the type of information, operational needs, legal requirements, and dispute or security considerations.
Account Closure and Data Deletion
A laundry owner can request account or workspace closure through support. We will delete or anonymise information that we no longer need, subject to legal, accounting, security, backup, and dispute-related exceptions. Export required business records before asking for closure.
Access and Correction
You can review and update many account and workspace details in Cimpos. Contact us if you need help accessing, correcting, or deleting personal information, or if you are a customer of a laundry business and want to direct a request to that business.
Cookies and Technical Information
Cimpos uses necessary browser storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, protect forms, and make the service work. We may collect technical details such as browser type, device information, approximate location, IP-derived security signals, and pages or actions needed for operation and diagnostics.
Service Logs
Our systems create logs for sign-ins, verification, changes, requests, messages, errors, and security events. Logs help us troubleshoot, audit important actions, detect abuse, and keep the service reliable.
International Service Providers
Some infrastructure and delivery providers may process information in countries outside Sri Lanka. We select providers with appropriate safeguards and require them to protect information for the services they provide.
Privacy of Other Laundry Businesses
Your workspace is separated from other laundry businesses. Do not attempt to access another business's information. Cimpos staff and service providers receive only the access needed for support, security, billing, or operation.
Children's Information
Cimpos is a business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect an individual child's personal information for their own account. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review it.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our service, providers, or legal obligations change. We will post the new version and update the Last Updated date. Material changes will receive additional notice where practical.
